Installing and connecting all types of network cables, including fiber optics, UTP cables, faceplates, and other relevant components.
Installing network devices, such as routers, switches, servers, biometric readers, and access points.
Troubleshooting and resolving all network-related user issues.
Collaborating with network department engineers to diagnose and resolve network problems across all KU campuses.
Connecting IP telephony devices to the network.
Working closely with KU network engineers to conduct site surveys for current and new network projects, including network enhancement projects, wireless network projects, network security projects, CCTV, smart cards, and IP telephony.
Preparing network infrastructure for labs, classrooms, and any new buildings at KU.
Providing on-site technical support during registrations, exams, or any other KU events to ensure network stability and a prompt response to any network-related issues.
Receiving task assignments from KUCIS Network Engineers on a call-by-call basis.
